* Symbols *

Both the television series and the movie is full of various symbolism. However, I've noticed several prevalent symbols in the movie, and discovered some interesting things behind them. In a visual story such as Adolescence Mokushiroku, much of the story is told in pictures and symbols as in words.

* Hair Length * One of the differences first noticed in character design is Utena's short hair - and Anthy's long hair. Why change such a fundamental part of a character design? (Spoilers)

* Nudity * A thorny issue for many, as much of the general public believes anime to be hentai (pornographic.) There is some nudity in Utena - but does it have a deeper meaning that showing bare skin? (Major Spoilers)
