Computer Goodies Galore!
Here we've stashed all the wonderful (well, let's not boost our egos too much) stuff that you can download and enjoy on your own computers.
Left: Wallpaper 1: Tama-Neko BLUE. (Sorry. Too much Cowboy Bebop music...mwahahaa.) Anyways, this wallpaper is a jpeg designed for an 800x600 resolution screen. And like you can tell, it's blue. Why? It's my favorite color, that's all. And it looks really rough because I made it in Paint Shop Pro, and I'm not entirely familiar with the interface. (I much prefer Photoshop.) To set this as your wallpaper, first open the image, then right-click on it and select 'Set as Wallpaper' (for Windows 95/98, at least.) File size: 44k
Right: Wallpaper 2: Tama-Neko Collage. This one is a mishmosh of Tama-Neko manga pictures on top of an anime picture. Goes best with red and purple color settings. Also a jpeg for an 800x600 screen. This one looks much better because I was able to create it in Photoshop, and had fun with filters to boot. See above for instructions on how to set this as your wallpaper. File size: 51k
Left: Tama-Neko Screen Saver: This was created with the shareware version of Animated Screens program, available from Pysoft. It has a black background and seven various images of Tama-Neko floating across the screen, outwards from the center. It's kind of like the flying Windows without the flying Windows. (But rather unlike the flying Toasters of AfterDark fame...) This is a zip file, so you'll need to unzip it with Winzip or PKunzip and save the resulting file in your Windows directory; then you can set it as your screensaver. File size: 117 KB zipped / 256 KB unzipped
Right: Tama-Neko Startup/ Shutdown Screens: A set of Tama-Neko startup and shutdown screens for Windows 95/98 I designed in (what else?) Photoshop. They are zipped in one file; after unzipping, save the startup (logo.sys) in your Windows directory and the other two (logow.sys and logos.sys) in your Windows/system directory. (Rename the old files first, so you don't loose them!) File sizes: 126K each unzipped/82k total zipped
Left: Tama-Neko Winamp Skin: Hmm... very pastellishy... This is the first time I've tried making a Winamp skin, so if it looks kind of crummy, now you know. I created it using Skinmaster and Photoshop. It's only the main window, no equalizer or playlist (it's my first skin, what do you expect?) All those pastelish thingies in the backgrounds are supposed to be pawprints, but they don't show up very well. At least I like the pawprint buttons... Just save this zip file in your Winamp skins directory and you're set to go. File Size: 89 KB zipped
Tama-Neko soundbyte: Courtesy of ChichiriDA, it has Chichiri saying "Daa!" and Tama-Neko meowing at the end. Very good for making a variety of system sounds. File size: 57.1 KB (not zipped)
Tama-Neko Icon/Animated Icon: Many thanks go to Seimei for letting me put them here. There's two icons, one is of Tama-Neko, the other is an animated icon of Tama-Neko (wai!). They have been zipped into one file for easy downloading. File size: 895 bytes zipped / 2.43 KB unzipped
