which?waller

rules

The rules of which?waller are being worked out right now. Currently, the set up will be:

Determine the round's theme. This could range from using scans from a certain series or artist, gathering a pool of scans for people to use, walling in a certain style or under certain limitations, etc.

After the theme has been announced, wallers will have a specific amount of time (1 month?) to create walls for the round. All walls should be at least 1280x1024 in size and must conform to the round's rules. Wallers can submit as many wallpapers to the round as they wish. All submitted walles should not have a signature (ie be anonymous.) The round coordinator will add a standardized which?waller signature to all the wallpapers when they are displayed on this site to help discourage ripping.

After the walling round ends, the guessing round begins. Watchers will have a specific amount of time (2 weeks?) to guess which wallers made which walls. They will be given a list of all the wallers who participated (and the number of walls they made, if applicable) and will need to send in their list of guesses to the round coordinator. Only 1 list of guesses will be accepted (this will be the last list submission the coordinator receives from a watcher, giving them a chance to update their guesses. Although the guess list will be secret, there will also be an open thread where watchers can debate who they think made which wall.

After the guessing round ends, the coordinator will post the list of walls and who made them. They will tally the guess lists to find a) the most accurate watcher b) the most guessable waller c) the least guessable waller d) the most guessable wall e) the least guessable wall. These people and walls will be displayed on the front page while the next round is in progress.

The next round begins with a new theme, and we start all over.
